Roman Road will close on Monday 12th October for approximately 2 weeks between Manxman Road and Park Lee Road. This is to allow the resurfacing of that section. It will also mean there will be no through access to or from Old Bank Lane.
The work is off peak so will only be in effect between 9.30am and 4.00pm.
Diversions will be in place so please keep an eye out for those.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Services affected will be the Outer Circle and Service 2 to and from Darwen. There will be a slight diversion for school bus 969 but will manage to serve all but one stop on Roman Road.
Outer Circle 5A: This will operate from Fishmoor Drive, then right onto Roman Road, Blackamoor, Blackamoor Road, Guide and Hospital then back on route.
Outer Circle 5C: This will operate reverse from the hospital, Guide, Blackamoor, Roman Road and Fishmoor Drive, then back on route.
Service 2 to Darwen: This will operate from the hospital to Guide, Blackamoor,Road, Stopes Brow, then back on route to Darwen.
Service 2 to Blackburn: The reverse will apply, From Stopes Brow, Blackamoor Road, Guide then back on route at the hospital.
Service D12 will not be affected and will continue to serve Newfield Drive and Fishmoor Drive.
For Services 2 and Outer Circle, the nearest available bus stops to the closure will be at KFC on Haslingden Road or at Stopes Brow at St James' Church.

That is why when I tried to passed in Roman Road on Oct 12th it was closed. I'm glad I found your post. For continuing the road improvement, the people will understand the inconvenience. Thank you for keeping us updated.
