Grimshaw Park & Haslingden Road Works From Monday 17th August

We have been informed that work on Gas supply will commence on Monday 17th August. This will impact on the mini roundabout at the junctions of, Brandy House Brow, Rockcliffe Street, Haslingden Road and Grimshaw Park.

Monday 17th through to Friday 21st (inclusive)
The mini roundabout will be under 3 way traffic signals and the Rockcliffe Street junction will be closed for the duration of the work.

Large vehicles coming up Grimshaw Park and wanting to turn left into Haslingden Road will not be able to make the tight maneuver. Instead, they will be diverted along Crossfield Street and Bennington Street, similarly for the oposite direction also. Rockcliffe Street will be closed from it's junction with mini roundabout to Robert Street. Traffic will be diverted along Mosley Street and Robert Street.

Temporary bus stops will be in place on Crossfield Street and Bennington Street to minimise disruption to bus users.

Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd
The whole junction and all four exits off the mini roundabout will close for reinstatement work and resurfacing, though it is possible not all of Sunday will be required, weather dependent.

Existing diversion routes will still apply for Haslingden Road and Grimshaw Park, but Brandy House Brow will divert either along, Old Bank Lane or Park Lee Road.

All diversion routes will be well signed.
