We have been informed that work to resurface the section of Duckworth Street between George Street and Varley Street will begin an Wednesday 19th August and will be spread over two evenings only.
This section of road will close at 6pm on Wednesday until approximately 11pm, then again on Thursday 20th August. All traffic will be diverted along A666 (Bury Street) to The Circus junction.
Buses to Darwen Cemetery or Bolton will not be able to access the bus station during the work. A temporary bus stop will be in place on Green Street, opposite Plumb base (Behind former Ethel Austins).
