Sky Ride in Blackburn with Darwen

Blackburn with Darwen is once again part of the national Sky Ride campaign, aiming to get one million more people riding a bike.
Following the launch of activity in the borough in 2011, the area is hosting a range of fun, organised and led bike rides again in 2012. These are FREE, small, weekly community bike rides that give you a chance to get out and explore your local area.

To find out more and register for rides please visit www.goskyride.com/blackburn-with-darwen. There will be weekly rides taking place throughout the summer starting on 6th May 2012. Why not take inspiration from Team GB at the Olympic Games - or just do it for fun and to meet friends - and join the cycling revolution!

There will be 25 x Sky Ride Local rides to look out for, ranging from family friendly, short, traffic free routes, up to stronger rides in excess of 25 miles. There will also be an additional 5 x ‘extra strong’ rides taking place which are aimed at regular cyclists, so keep your eyes peeled for those. Finally, there will be 5 x ‘off-road trail’ rides taking place in the borough, so if that’s the way you like to ride these are for you!
